5 Minute Interview: Mike Lieberman
Question #1
Alvin: Who are you, what do you do, and what do you enjoy most about it?
Mike: My name is Mike Lieberman and through my blog and social media I share my expertise and on urban gardening, eco-conscious living and the food industry.
The thing that I enjoy most about it is connecting with and inspiring other people.
Question #2
Alvin: Pick any man in the world, who would be the most influential to you and why?
Mike: Oddly enough Howard Stern has been a pretty big influence in my life. He is the one that got me down the path that I am on today and inspired me to think differently.
Stern got me onto the book “The Divided Mind” by Dr. John Sarno. That helped to cure me of 12+ years of foot and ankle pain. It got me thinking differently about modern medicine and into a more holistic way of looking into it. A few months later when his co-host Robin Quivers started the Master Cleanse, I did too. That completely changed my views on health and our current food system.
Question #3
Alvin: What do you wish to accomplish 1 year from today?
Mike: One year from today, my goal is simple. I wish to be happy and healthy. If I have those two, everything else will fall into place.
Question #4
Alvin: From your balcony which vegetables are the most difficult to grow and why?
Mike: Since I get about 4-6 hours of direct sunlight, I stick to growing different varieties of greens, lettuces, kales and spinach.
I attempted to grow cucumbers and tomatoes over the summer, but they didn’t get enough sunlight. They produced a little fruit, but not too much. So I’ve decided to stick with what I can grow and grow lots of.
Question #5
Alvin: What has been your largest step to manhood?
Mike: My largest step to manhood was leaving my “comfortable” corporate job to seek out my own passion and do what really makes me happy. It was a difficult move to make and one that wasn’t very well received by some that are close to me, but I wasn’t happy with what I was doing and wanted to change that.
The other big step that I made towards manhood was moving across the country to Los Angeles to live with my girlfriend, Anita.
BONUS:
Alvin: What has been the best advice you received about being a man?
Mike: Be true to yourself. Don’t look to others for the answers that lie within you. You are armed with everything that you need to know. Utilize that.
